A Very Fun Week

Aunt Joan, Susan, Al, and Brandt arrived on Sunday. Deb, Jake, and Harper arrived on Tuesday. Gulliver loved playing with his all his cousins! And he absoluely devours Aunt Joan's home-cooked meals.

We've had so much going on, it's hard to figure out where to begin. Will let the photos speak for themselves…

Rodeo

On Friday night, we went to the Cattlemen's Days Rodeo in Gunnison.

Now, I'm the first to admit that I don't know much about the rodeo. But I just love it! Mark and I went to our first rodeo together when we were dating in 2005. And we try to go every year. This year Gulliver got to go to his first Rodeo.

Before heading to our seats, we strolled through the 4H area and checked out the cows, pigs, and sheep.

Gulliver enjoyed some of my fresh-squeezed lemonade.

He was very interested in the horses, bulls, and calves out in the arena. He clapped his hands constantly.

The only part of the evening he did not enjoy were the loud noises. At the start, they set off a few fireworks, which he actually enjoyed. But then they ended with a large boom, and he screamed and cried. Another time the announcers had different sections of the crowd cheer and clap and scream as loud as they could. When it was our section's turn. Gulliver just about jumped out of GaGa's lap in fright. He screamed and cried again. Fortunately, it just took a little walking around to soothe him.

And then he got engrossed once again down on the field. I think he liked being eye-level with the action.

We went to the rodeo with a large group. GaGa had friends visiting, and we spent their last night in town at the rodeo.

All in all, it was a very fun evening. We tucked our little cowboy in at 9:30pm. He slept until 9:00 the next morning!
