Fun With Mom

I find myself missing from many of our photographs and videos because I'm usually the one behind the camera. With GaGa in town, mom finally gets to be in some photos with Gulliver, too!

We love playing in our neighborhood park. It's fun to watch Gulliver's progression. At first, he just wanted to walk around -- making a beeline to the street; on the bases in the baseball field; up and down the berms. Then I started bringing a soccer ball with us and he would kick the ball around. Now Gulliver is starting to enjoy the playground. He likes to climb up the tower and slide down the slide. He enjoys the swing. And he likes to spin around (slowly) on the merry-go-round.  The park is always sure to please!

Weekend

Mark and I took a weekend getaway to Gunnison. We played 54 holes of golf... walked 9 holes on Friday; walked 18 holes on Saturday then got a cart and rode for 9 more holes; and wrapped up the weekend walking another 18 holes. I've never played more than 18 holes in one day or more than 36 holes in a single weekend. So I broke two personal records this weekend! And we also got to witness our friend, Jay, get a hole-in-one on the Par 3 Hole #7.  What fun!

We stayed at an inn that overlooks the 4th hole. Parked our cars on Friday afternoon and never moved them until we left on Sunday afternoon. Even though we were only 30 minutes away from home, we enjoyed our weekend stay-cation!

GaGa stayed at home with Gulliver and we hear they had a very, very good time!

 

Good Times With Ga Ga

Gulliver is having a wonderful time with Ga Ga. They play in the sandbox, eat meals together, take walks, play ball, practice talking, laugh, sing, and just have a good ol' time. Ga Ga even taught Gulliver how to drink his smoothie through a straw!

Mark got home late, late Friday night and Gulliver was so happy to see him on Saturday morning. His eyes lit up and he let out tons of giggles when he realized dad was home. So cute!

Mark and I got out and played 18 holes on Sunday. Neither of us had a stellar round, but it was nice to get back out on the links together.

Gulliver got to enjoy his first rib bone in honor of the Fourth of July. He thought it was pretty tasty. We enjoyed another Monday night concert in town, but tucked the little guy in before the fireworks. Everyone had a lovely holiday weekend (well, everyone except the girls - they were pretty freaked out by all the fireworks and spent most evenings panting or hunkered down in the bathroom and closet).

When I brought home groceries packed in dry ice, I decided to create a "witch's brew" to see Gulliver's reaction. He was quite fascinated by it...

I got out on my third bike ride of the season this week and enjoyed the new Lupine Trail just outside of town. What a great trail! The lupine is AMAZING! I timed it perfectly (just by chance) and saw the Lupine at the very peak of its blooming season...

Happy 4th of July!

Munchkin Music

We signed up for "Munchkin Music" a few weeks ago and it is is such a wonderful class! We sing songs, play instruments, stomp around like elephants, shake eggs, dance with scarves, and do all kinds of other fun stuff. It's a whole lot of entertainment rolled into one!

Alpenglow Concert

We went to the first Alpenglow Free Concert in the Park of the season on Monday night.  The weather was perfect, and it seemed like the whole town was there! Ga Ga arrived that afternoon, so we got to enjoy the show with her. We packed a picnic basket and ate dinner while enjoying the live music. Gulliver danced to the beat and explored the crowd in our immediate vicinity. This is definitely one of my favorite events of summer.
